Frequently Asked Questions

How much is delivery? Delivery is free within Australia for all orders of 1 kg or over. For orders of 500g a delivery fee of $9 applies.

Is it orders within Australia only? Australia is our market focus. If you’re living outside of Australia and want ot try our coffee we can internationally ship to you (yes, its going to cost!). Just drop us an email to info@timormountain.com and we will figure out logistics for you.

How should I store my coffee? We recommend keeping your coffee away from extreme heat or cold. To keep your coffee fresh make sure you ‘zip lock’ your coffee bag after each use.

When shopping for coffee, I see choices for Whole Bean, Filter or Espresso grind-what should I choose? For french press, pour over or drip select a filter grind. This is coarse grind. Choose espresso grind to use your coffee in an espresso machine, AeroPress or Italian Moka Pot (stove top percolator). If you have a grinder then obviously choose Whole Bean.

I want to buy a grinder for extra coffee freshness. What kind would you suggest? We have found the Barratza Encore to be a goof quality reasonably priced grinder for home use. Cost is about $230 delivered. Alternative Brewing had best prices last time we checked and were fast and efficient in our order experience to date. They also carry Aeropress and manual grinders (we travel with an Aeropress and a Rhinowares hand grinder).

Is Timor Mountain coffee organic? Our coffee is not certified organic but in practise all of the coffee farmers we partner with use organic practices. Certification is an expensive and time consuming process with high annual costs. Timor Mountain’s priority is to invest in directly supporting improved farming practices which regenerate soil health and productivity. These practices are informed by principles common to organic, permaculture and regenerative agriculture approaches. Its unlikely r will certify our approach in the short term.
