Peter Dougan, Founder & Managing Director

Peter first went to Timor in 2009 and then moved there in 2013 with the idea of creating a business that served farmers. From Australia, Peter loves nothing better than riding a motorbike through the mountains of Ermera and visiting with farmers (over cups of sweetened black coffee)

Inacia Imaculada, Business Manager

Inacia started with Timor Mountain as our first staff member doing some part time bookkeeping.

Now, seven years later she leads our business - and along the way got married and has three beautiful children. A natural leader, Inacia graduated with a degree in business.

(Don’t tell anyone but Inacia doesn’t actually drink coffee!)

Yareisy Acosta, Co-Founder

A native of Cuba, Yare joined Peter in moving to Timor in 2013 and starting our new venture. In 2017 when he proposed (on a coffee farm of all places) she agreed to marry him!

Yare excels at supporting our team to perform and cut through operational challenges. Her favourite coffee: espresso (preferably in Italy)

Romario Evangelista, Senior Manager + Quality Control & Exports.

Romario (generally known as Aro) was born and raised in the village of Humboe. He graduated as a civil engineer and soon after joined Timor Mountain in 2018.

Aro took on the role of over-sighting dry milling operations in our first year of exporting in 2019. He followed that up by handling the international export of our coffee.

In 2022, Aro is acting in the role of General Manager where he is coordinating our team to deliver on growing our business profitability and impact

Rogerio Brites. Operations Manager - Coffee

Rogerio is an agribusiness professional born and raised in Hatolia in the district of Ermera. He has a degree in Agroforestry from the East Timor Coffee Institute.

Roger stepped into the role of Operations Manager due to his ability to get the job done, no matter how hard it is.

Roger steady friendly leadership brings him natural respect wherever he goes.

Novela Da Costa, Finance Officer

Novela is our newest team members, joining us soon after graduating from East Timor Coffee Institute (ETCI) with a degree in Financial Management.

With a strong work ethic, engaging personality and can-do attitude she’s quickly made herself invaluable!
